Description:
This issue of the journal is dedicated to current issues in improving technological methods for crop cultivation. Significant attention is given to the specifics of growing vegetable, grain and leguminous crops, which play a vital role in ensuring the state's food security. The scientific publications present the results of experimental research on the production of organic leguminous products, the importance of adaptive breeding to increase the resilience of agrocenoses, plant protection against harmful objects and the application of fertilizers to increase crop yields. Certain papers are devoted to the implementation of innovative methods for stimulating the seed productivity of forest seed plantations.

Annotation

This scientific publication presents the results of a two-year study examining the characteristics of growth, development and the formation of yield components in winter wheat varieties, depending on the influence of preceding crops, mineral fertilisers and a bacterial preparation on grey podzolic soils at the VNAU experimental field. The number of plants at the end of the autumn growing season, overall plant survival, the number of plants at harvest, the number of productive shoots, and the total and productive tillering coefficients during the years of the study depended on both the preceding crops and the fertilisation treatments. The highest values were obtained when peas were used as the preceding crop, whilst sowing after winter rapeseed led to a reduction in the values of the aforementioned traits. With regard to fertilisation, there was a tendency for these indicators to increase under the influence of the applied fertilisers, with the best results obtained when applying N32Р32К32 + N30 (early spring application) + Escort-bio 0.5 l/ha (tillering stage) + Escort-bio 0.5 l/ha (booting stage). The development of morphological characteristics in the cultivated varieties of winter wheat depended on both the influence of the preceding crop and the fertilisation treatments. The highest values were recorded when the wheat was sown following a preceding crop of peas. The application of nitrogen fertilisers and foliar feeding with Escort-Bio contributed to an increase in these indicators, with the highest results observed in the trial variants involving the application of N32Р32К32 + N30 (early spring fertilisation) + Escort-Bio 0.5 l/ha (tillering stage) + Escort-Bio 0.5 l/ha (booting stage). Sowing winter wheat varieties following a winter rapeseed crop resulted in lower yield components compared with sowing following a pea crop. As for the fertilisation treatments, the highest values for both cultivated varieties were obtained using treatment 3, involving the application of N32Р32К32 + N30 (early spring top-dressing) + Escort-Bio 0.5 l/ha (tillering stage) + Escort-bio 0.5 l/ha (booting stage). The yield of the cultivated varieties Aliot and Perepilka depended to a large extent on the factors under investigation. Accordingly, the highest grain yields for both varieties were obtained following a pea crop (5.92-7.61 t/ha). As regards fertilisation treatments, the highest productivity of the cultivated varieties (6.92-7.61 t/ha) was achieved in the third treatment, where N32Р32К32 + N30 (early spring top-dressing) + Escort-Bio 0.5 l/ha (tillering stage) + Escort-Bio 0.5 l/ha (booting stage). It should also be noted that the Aliot variety outperformed the Peripilka variety both during the years of the experiments and on average over the two  years across all experimental treatments applied.
