The authors present the results of the field researching of the reproductive capacity of blackberry cultivars in the conditions of the Ukraine’s Western Lisosteppe. Cultivars that formed the most optimal parameters of bush and provide the most potential exit of material for reproduction are distinguished. On the basis of the generalized data about the average amount of shoots that were formed researched cultivars have been divided into 3 groups: with a low shoot formation ability (less than 5 canes): Black Diamond, Black Pearl, Chief Joseph, Heaven can Wait, Jumbo, Natches, Tornfree, Triple Crown, Kiowa; average ability (5 - 7 escapes): Adriene, Apache, Black Butte, Black Magic, Brzezina, Čačanska Вestrna, Chester, Karaka Black, Loch Tay, Navaho, Ouachita, Nasoloda, Sadove chudo; and with high ability (more than 7 escapes): Аsterina, Orkan, Reuben. The cultivars Black Butte, Karaka Black, Аsterina, Čačanska Вestrna and Nasoloda provided a large number of suckers for propagation. The lowest cutting it was possible to provide from the cultivars Heaven Сan Wait, Chief Joseph and Brzezina.
