Vdovenko Serhii Anatoliyovych – Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Management, Gardening and Viticulture of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str. 3., e-mail: vd_sa@vsau.vin.ua).
Ivanovych Oleksandra Mykhaylivna – post-graduate student of the department of landscape gardening, horticulture and viticulture of the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str. 3., e-mail: ivanovicoleksandra@gmail.com).
A promising plant of open ground is brussels sprouts, which has high taste qualities, vitamin composition and medicinal properties. During growing, attention should be paid to the varieties, lines and landing schemes of planting seedlings and to study the effect of biological products on plant growth and development. With proper growing technology, you can get up to 9.3 t / ha of production of brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts refers to vegetable plants that contain a lot of useful substances. Its food organs contain fiber, sugar, starch, and crude protein. However, especially valuable Brussels sprouts are considered thanks to a unique set of vitamins. It contains vitamins of group B, vitamin PP and vitamin C, which is many times higher than in other vegetables. In Brussels sprouts, it has a rich composition of mineral salts, it contains magnesium salts, calcium, potassium, iron, iodine, sodium, phosphorus, as well as free amino acids and enzymes. The content of riboflavin is at the level of milk and dairy products, the content of crude protein in brussels sprouts is 4-5 times larger than in white cabbage.
