CONCEPT OF AMBROSIA ARTEMISIIFOLIA L. AS A PROBLEM OF THE NATIONAL LEVEL: THREATS, TRENDS, IMPLICATIONS
Solonenko Valeriy Ivanovych – Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, associate Professor of the Department of Botany, Genetics and Plant Protection of the Vinnitsa National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str. 3,e-mail: valery @i.ua).
Vatamaniuk Olha Volodymyrivna – Аssistant of the Department of Botany, Genetics and Plant Protection of the Vinnitsa National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str. 3,e-mail: olga@i.ua).
The article deals with the phenomenon of Ambrosia artemisiifolia as a problem of general continental and national levels. The threats caused by Ambrosia artemisiifolia in the form of the manifestation of allergic reactions in a large part of the population, representatives of the animal world, the problem of damage to agriculture as a segetal weed are described. The main tendencies and patterns of development of the problem field of the Ambrosia artemisiifolia factor are outlined. The circle of participants for control and protection against the spread of quarantine weeds has been determined. The consequences of uncontrolled dissemination of Ambrosia artemisiifolia have been simulated and the concept of the state program of counteraction to it in Ukraine is proposed.
