Matusiak Mikhaylo Vasyliovych – Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Аssistant of the Department of Landscape Gardening, Horticulture andViticulture of the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str.3, e-mail: mikhailo1988@gmail.com).
Neiko Ihor Stepanovych – Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Landscape Gardening, Horticulture and Viticulture of Vinnitsa National Agrarian University (21008, Vinnytsia, Soniachna Str.3, e-mail: vinforvn@ukr.net)
Yelisavenko Yurii Anatoliyovych – Senior Researcher of SE «Vinnytsia Forest Research Station» (21036, Vinnytsia, Maksimovicha st., 39., e-mail: yelis2009@ukr.net).
The article presents the researches and their results concerning the assessment of the status of natural oak forests in the Vinnytsia region. Also, the analysis of the state and dynamics of natural renewal of oak is typical in the context of forest types. Explanation of the process of natural regeneration of indigenous trees is an important step in the study of the features of the restoration of natural oak forests in the region. The results of such studies can be used in further research on the adequacy of the natural regeneration of conventional oak in the region.
The characteristic of the state of natural regeneration of oak in natural forests of the State Enterprise «Khmelnyk forestry» is based on the database of forest management. The result of the research is to determine the basic taxonomic indices of natural forests with the participation of the oak and the features of their natural renewal.
